Worship Information

Please join us to celebrate the Holy Eucharist in hybrid Zoom/in-person worship at St. Bede’s on Sundays at 9:30 a.m.

Our worship has deep roots in ancient Christian practice; some of the prayers we say date from the fourth century, and some of our hymn lyrics are even older. Episcopalians and Anglicans around the world share the tradition of the Book of Common Prayer, which at its heart holds that worship is “common,” shared between people and priest.

Music at St. Bede’s

Historically, St. Bede’s has had, and continues to have, an outstanding music program, and there is an enormous appreciation for the choir and the service music. The 10:15 congregation considers the choir and the Beckerath organ a major attraction and a spiritual resource, even to those who don’t themselves like to sing. The choir sings music of many genres, with perhaps more emphasis on early music than many other choirs, but contemporary compositions, folk music, and spirituals also appear.
