Sunday School

Begins at 10:15 a.m.

Our younger children, ages 3 – 6, enjoy learning through Godly Play. The program includes visual Bible and liturgical storytelling that is designed to activate reflection through artistic expression.

The lesson plans for older children, in grades 2 through 5, follow the liturgical calendar and the lectionary — the church’s seasons and the weekly Scripture lessons. The class time includes gathering, lesson time, reflection through activities, artistic expression, and preparation for participation in worship. This allows the children to really begin to seek an adult understanding of faith formation.

Available 10:00 – 11:30 a.m.

During Sunday’s 10:15 service, infants and toddlers may be cared for in our professionally staffed nursery, just steps away from the church sanctuary. Our nursery is equipped with a variety of storytelling and imaginative playtime equipment to engage children for their earliest church experiences. Engagement with the lectionary takes the form of reading and creative play among the older children in this group.

Youth Fellowship

Begins at 10:15 a.m.

Fellowship begins with a check-in and continues with worship and reflection time, followed by planning time for missional service and activities. Local service opportunities will include organizing parish-wide engagement, experiences of interfaith and ecumenical youth group service in the community, and growing awareness of the place of faith in the world. Local projects will help our youth prepare for a one-week pilgrimage and mission trip next summer with Sierra Service Project to San Diego.
