Looking Forward — From the Senior Warden

With the shelter-in-place orders extended through the end of May, the St. Bede’s campus remains closed to everyone. Our parish staff continue to work from home and check voicemail and e-mail regularly throughout the day, Mondays through Fridays. Governor Gavin Newsom has announced a phased approach to reopening our communities with in-person church services slated to begin again in Phase 3. We don’t expect Phase 3 to occur until mid- to late summer – and so we will continue our Sunday Morning Prayer via Zoom for the rest of May and June. If you’ve not yet joined us, please give it a try! Over the past several weeks, we’ve developed a strong community that meets online every Sunday. Details are below.

The Bishop’s office announced this week that we can expect a phased reopening of in-person church services. They have assembled a team to develop guidelines for reopening that will adhere strongly to state and local health directives. We hope to have more information to share with you in the next few weeks.

Is there a light at the end of this tunnel? It’s starting to feel like there is!

In faith and peace,
Anne Vitullo, Senior Warden
